I read an article on cnn.com called "'Marley' on top for second straight week". For the first few days of 2009 movie sales are already sky rocketing. The new family flick Marley and Me has pulled in whooping $106.5 million dollars. Many other movies came somewhat close but none of them pasted the $100 million dollar mark except for Marley and Me. The others were The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Valkyrie and Bedtime Stories. Bedtime Stories produced about $85 million even though critics bashed the movie and gave it horrible reviews. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button made $80 million dollars which is good for the producers because it was a very expensive movie to create. Valkyrie produced $60.7 million dollars so far which is surprising because it was very unknown before it came out in theaters.
